Bano's Top 3 Back to School Tips

Welcome back to the latest edition of NextHome Valleywide News. With school getting back in session, we thought it would be a great time to talk about tips for success at school. We have the pleasure of being joined by an old friend of ours, Dick Baniszewski, an administrator here at Hamilton who we used to work with at Mountain Point. He’s going to share his top tips for student success.

Your kids are worried about three things in particular: looks, lost, and lunch.

They want to look good, so make sure they have what they need. Boys are easy—a t-shirt and a pair of shorts are the norm. For girls, they want to look a little nicer most of the time.

That’s great, but remember that all district high schools have a dress code, so make sure shoulders are covered and shorts are appropriate.

There are 4,000 people at Hamilton, but once people get in their group, they find their social groove. However, it can be quite intimidating for freshmen, and they are the ones usually most worried about getting lost.
Freshman are most prone to getting lost.
The final thing to talk about is lunch. At Hamilton, they have three different lunches, so you could be eating either really early or really late.

If you remember the three Ls, your kids will love you for it. Love—there’s number four.

You can see in the video above why Dick is so beloved here at Hamilton. These are some great tips. Thanks again to Dick for joining us. This has been the latest edition of NextHome Valleywide News. If you have any questions for us, don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email.
